/email@recticity.com"The clothing of a woman is a pleasure for the eye that cannot be judged inferior to the other arts."(Editor, La Gazette du Bon Ton French fashion magazine, 1912)What is "Women's Fashion Art"? In short, it's a sub-culture that refuses to eat what global commerce serves up as fashion.
What does the group look for when members submit a
Women's Fashion Art photo or a
Women's Fashion Art artwork? Well, that depends. Sometimes a design (i.e. "Little Red Riding Hood Chloe" by Flurryfox just makes us smile because it's "off the wall" and - in our opinion - it's cute and pretty unique in the context of this group so it broadens our "artistic frontier" so to speak.
In other cases the smooth curves of the garment provide a perfect compliment to the underlying figure and it is obvious that a hypothetical wearer would enjoy the experience. Again, the objective of representing
Women's Fashion Art has been achieved. Still others have fashions that are so beautifully crafted that you can't help looking at it for ages (like "Queen Mab" by ErinKerr among others), and finally some win out using a sheer simplicity of style that still somehow manages to embody this group's objectives.
Are we consistent? Probably not... we'll have to live with being human I guess...
Enjoy the art !
